F. Logarithmic Functions

The TI-89 will graph the natural logarithm, y=ln x, and the common logarithm, y=log x. However, graphing functions in other bases requires the use of the Change of Base Property.

1. Natural Logarithms and Common Logarithms

The natural logarithm function is accessed by entering . The common logarithm can be accessed via , but also can by typed in using the keys.

Functions such as can only be entered using the Change of Base Property as shown below.
